well there is a classic levitation method;

you have your side facing the witness, and the foot that is the witness cannot see is standing on its foot fingers. the other foot is in the air and this looks like levitation.

apparently on the show, he would do the classic levitation method in front of the witnesses. he obviously doesnt get off the ground nearly as much as it appears on television though.

so when the witnesses arent there, he goes back and they hook a chain to his back and pull him up into the air, so hes hanging by a cord. this is why you dont see his full body on tv.

Quite the opposite I think. Poker is exactly the kind of wild west capitalism conservatives purport to adore when they think someone is watching. And it's actually a meritocracy that doesn't make a complete joke of the word, so it's likely to promote thinking along conservative lines, especially among successful players.
