Dear 2+2,
This evening my friends dared to me to enter three $55 SnG's on Party Poker. To my surprise I won all three! I know this is a small sample size but do you think my win rate is sustainable?

Well, I just started using the new spreadsheet and it has made a world of difference in my game:
ROI: 206.8%
ITM: 87.5%
1st: 50%
2nd: 12.5%
3rd: 25%
Other: 12.5%
Man, I can't believe I waited to download this thing. I pity the fools using the old version.

Dear friend do you realize that Im not being serious, do you actually think I believe a)my win rate is sustainable and b)my sample size is enough???.
Isnt the highest RoI possible 358.7%?
That is what sng tracker said I had after winning my first 3 tounreys. Maybe I'm wrong.

I made my own spreadhsheet, its really simple actually. For example if you come fifth you just put +1 in that square and you have ur new roi and itm. I dont have risk of ruin and stuff like that, although it would be nice to have it.

No you don't
ROI is profit/cost, not prize/cost

no I dont, its around 350%. I know how ROI works but miscalculated and adden an extra 100.

Not if you pay less than 9% buy-in fee.
"I dont have risk of ruin"
Risk of ruin is a useless stat for sngs. A decent player who knows when to drop down a limit* or few probally has more chance of being struck by lightning than losing his role.
*This is the key to sng risk management. Knowing when it's ok to move up and when you must drop down to maintain a healthy roll.

I have $103....so I dont have much flexibility and I started with 25 bux and of course this two early sng wins mean a lot to me becuase they give me some kinda cushion but I still dont have the bankroll to survive a downswing.

$5 and $10 buyin BRs are easily replenishable, so losing them doesn't count /images/graemlins/wink.gif

if it's gonna be that hard for you to reload, stick to the $5s until you run your roll up to $300 or so.

Can I make a profit on the $5s? What ROI can I expect? 20% playing my A game?

I really dislike the idea of playing the $5's, only because the rake is prohibitively high.
IMO you should play on PokerStars, they have very soft $5+0.50 regular SNGs and $6+0.50 Turbo SNGs.

Yes, the rake is high, but you can make a profit. I don't know what ROI you specifically could achieve because I know very little about your game.

Don't play the $5s, the rake structure is the same at the $5s & 10s.

Play the $5 if it is very difficult for you to reload and the $100 means that much to you. Also if you are new to sit and gos a lot of reading will probably do as much for your game as playing the tournies themselves.
