Yep. BB's smooth call on the flop really makes this feel like 99 or a flopped flush, especially after the turn cap.

Unfortunately /images/graemlins/frown.gif. Maybe you'll get shown A /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif but you're probably screwed.

After the Turn cap I am praying for the board to pair. Check-call the River.

With one limper and I have a mid-low pp (55,66,77) in the small bllind I have been raising to try to get it heads up with the limper, assuming it's a limper i would like to isolate. What's the general consensus on raising versus completing with these hands?

It depends. You have awful position and BB still gets good odds for a call..

I thought about asking this as well, but agree that position-wise it is not so great and no guarantee BB will fold here. I think it depends on the blinds structure; where the SB is half the BB Hero is getting 5:1 on his call, which is enough to complete just for set value (I usually like 5:1, though I think many will take 4:1). With the blinds at $2/$5 Hero is putting $3 into a pot that is $12, so 4:1.

What odds do people take on playing for a set? If 4:1 is enough, then a complete is fine esp. out of position.
