Dear Party Poker,
I love you. I know we’ve had our differences over the years, and there are some issues upon which we will never agree: I hated you when your three-table tournaments would freeze for 45 minutes at a time; I hated that the same tournaments had me absolutely baffled when they ran; I hate that you only have 800 starting chips; I hate that MTTs under $20 are few and far between, and that you charge 20% vigorish for the $5 tables. And I will admit that I betrayed you. I left you for another site, with deeper stacks, two-table tournaments that didn’t freeze on me, and MTTs for $5.50.
But, God help me, I am back, and Oh, how I missed you. Your charms far outweigh your shortcomings. Only you have players who call huge pre-flop raises with A8 on the first hand of the tournament. Only you have players who call an all-in with pocket sevens on an ace-high board. Only you have players who will call an all-in with a non-nut flush draw. Only you have players who think a kicker only matters in football. Only you have players who will call a pre-flop raise with KQ, and then lose their entire stack on a AK3 flop. Only you will have player who will let me steal their blinds every other freakin' hand.
