Does anyone else like them?

I wouldn't be surprised if the only responses to this are asking wtf I'm talking about, so, they're a band.

They've been going downhill since Everything Must Go (The Masses Against the Classes excluded) but, yeah I still like them.

I'm not very big into them, but yeah, I know who you're talking about.

Until you said they are a band my answer was "yea, they rule," after I learned that my answer has changed to, "I don't know, never heard of them."

My first gig after starting at University was a Manic Street Preachers gig in which James Dean Bradfield stage dived into the crowd and landed pretty much on top of my head - fortunately this was before he piled on the pounds!

For me, none of their stuff ever surpassed 'Generation Terrorists', which is a great album. Incidentally, my copy of this is signed by Richey (i.e. the one who went missing and is presumed dead) so should be worth a few bob on Ebay considering what the later memorabilia sells for.

nice catch!

I went to their Millenium Eve gig which was really good. Shame about the beer price though (£3 a pint and a half hour wait!).

I was in Madison Wisc. over the weekend and there was this one Asian guy who looked like William Hung on some megaphone spouting about Jesus.......

There was also some degenerate Socialists spouting about how he supported insurgents killing American soldeirs...

Hard to tell which one was really more out of touch with America....I suspect the Socialist.

Yeah, I agree. Actually my favourite album of theirs that I've heard is Gold Against The Soul, so I suppose I could say I think they've been going downhill since there, but I wouldn't like to because The Holy Bible and EMG are so fantastic.

I really need to listen to this, I haven't heard that or Know Your Enemy. I enjoy their albums in reverse order now that I think about it, so I should actually like Generation Terrorists the best. I'll listen to it soon, I'd better actually as I'm seeing them live next week in Bristol. I'll be standing, hopefully James Dean Bradfield will realise that his extra weight should affect the decision to stage dive!

You Stole The Sun From my Smile (Mogwai Mix) is a favorite song of mine.
