Live $4/8 Full Ring Game

Reads
SB: Loose + Predictable + Bluffer. He will bet out on the flop in an unraised pot if he has top or middle pair, or bottom pair + flush draw. He does not bet draws, though with a draw, he will 3-bet *with a flair* if he thinks it will look cool. He's always happy to show his bluff after the hand. Will call any bet if he is on a draw.

BB: Unimaginative, loose player. Bets if they have something.

MP2: Fairly tight preflop, weak post flop, predictable. She will only bet if she has top pair, she does not bet draws, but she will call a draw with incorrect odds. She'll fold if she thinks she is beat, so she can be bluffed.

None of them would go for a check raise

Hand
Hero is CO with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ/images/graemlins/club.gif

Preflop:UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, Hero calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop: A/images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ/images/graemlins/diamond.gif6/images/graemlins/club.gif (4 players)
Pot: 4 SB

SB checks, BB checks, MP2 checks, Hero checks

If SB, BB, or MP2 had any pair (or better), they would have bet.

Hero should have the best hand.

Turn: 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif [A/images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ/images/graemlins/diamond.gif6/images/graemlins/club.gif] (4 players)
Pot: (2 BB)

SB bets, BB folds, MP2 calls, Hero calls

SB probably (75%+) has a pair of fives, might also have a flush draw.

MP2 does not have an ace, else she would have bet the flop, so her call indicates she probably has a J.

Based on reads, I thought that I still had the best hand. My plan here was to bet/raise any non /images/graemlins/diamond.gif river.

River: 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif [A/images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ/images/graemlins/diamond.gif6/images/graemlins/club.gif 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif] (3 players)
Pot: (5 BB)

SB bets, MP2 calls, Hero folds...? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

SB continues his bluff (he would have bet the flop with a 6).

MP2 does not have trip 6's because she would raise, rather than go for an overcall.

I still think I have the best hand, but I fold because I am a wuss.

uhhhhh...

raise preflop...isolate the chick that "is tight/predictable" but doesn't have a good enought hand to raise herself...

i really hate letting this flop check through, this should be an easy flop bet, especially last to act and given your reads...

so pretty much on all streets you have a plan and read, yet you don't follow through at all, whats up with that?????

I was so disappointed in myself after this hand that I got up and left the casino and have not played poker since.

btw - I am surprised that you suggest I raise with KJo in the CO with a limper. Is that based mainly on the read of the weak tighty chick?

i thought raising your KJ would be pretty easy there actually...

you said the chick is pretty tight preflop, but you didn't say aggresssive or not, so i figure passive since most are and you say she is predictable...having position and initiative in the hand against a weak/predictable opponent is pretty sweet, plus you have to opportunity to knock out the blinds and put some dead money into the pot...its a lot easier to take the pot from a single predictable villain when you both miss the pot, than to take it against 3 opponents after limping...

IMO this is a standard isolation...

I have to agree. With 1 w/t limper and the button you should absolutely take the initiative here. And you have to bet the flop. Make these guys pay for their cards.

this was HORRIBLE given your reads.

you should raise preflop.

once there (the flop, that is), you give a specific read. That read says: i have the best hand. WHY are you giving everyone a free card?

then, you get to the turn. where your read stands up, "i have the best hand" and yet you're letting your opponents stick around until the river.

then, on the river, when you likely still have the best hand, you can't get up the stones to raise or overcall, even though you don't fear trip 6's.

misplayed on every street.

taking some time off if you're playing this weak/tight when you KNOW better is probably ok. Or play some micros and get some confidence.
