Here's the story. I just recently broke up with my girlfriend. Every summer we would go with her family to Montana and do some real fun stuff. Well, we are trying the 'friends' thing but I don't think the trip is going to happen this time. However, I already purchased my plane ticket and I'm pretty sure its non-refundable. So, I'll have $300 in Delta bucks to spend and am looking to go somewhere. Here is some other info:

1. Looking for something low cost. I'm willing to spend some another $100-$200 if I must to fly somewhere cool.
2. Could be any time of year, but sometime this year.
3. Would be okay if I went solo. I might be able to talk some friends into spending the cash, but just in case I can't, some ideas for just myself are welcome.
4. I can fly out of any airport in CA.
5. I'm 25 years old.
6. The trip should be about a week.

Any suggestions?

Never been anywhere east of New Mexico. Been to Mexico a few times, never been to Canada. I like being by the water, especially lakes.

Montreal is an amazing and affordable town.

Vancouver has great outdoorsy stuff to do if thats your thing, less affordable though.

Thats all I would recommend Canada wise.
