View Full Version : $10/20 and $15/30 vs. Low Limit in Las Vegas

How do the 10/20 at the Mirage and/or the 15/30 at the Bellagio compare with the typical low limit games in Las Vegas?

From this forum, my understanding is that they are typically more agressive pre-flop and tougher during the day. I am unsure if there is a big jump in skill at these limits. Is it that most of the players just have a higher bankroll?

Thanks

I don't think there is a big jump in skill level. But, there is a small jump.

Dynasty,

This is interesting and agrees with what I have heard elsewhere. The primary reason might be that the collection system and treatment of players is about the same for 6/12 and 15/30 in Las Vegas.

In Los Angeles there is huge difference between 6/12 and 15/30 and a lot has to do with the collection and the fact that 15/30 is about entry level for top section (with top section comped food, no jackpot drop and lower collections).

Rick

The 10-20 game at Mirage (especially the first game, which we call the "Rounder's game") and 15-30 at Bellagio are, as you have heard, both tougher during the daytime, and generally have 6 (or more) pros in the games. There IS a BIG jump in skill in both of these games vs. the lower limits, and nobody is going to pay you off. There is more action in the 15-30 than the 10-20, however. The reason the 10-20 and 15-30 regulars have bigger bankrolls is because they are better players than the lower limit guys /forums/images/icons/wink.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif It's not because they are all "rich".!
