How does rebuy work?

Sorry for the dumb question! I just joined a rebuy add-on tournament. Can someone explain how it works. Do I have to run out of chips to rebuy or can you add on at any time? Any quick pointers? Thanks. Deb

usually you can only re-buy if you're below the original amount of chips. i would re-buy once initially, and add-on at break. hopefully you won't have to re-buy anytime else

Just to be more specific, you can usually rebuy when you're at or below your original amount of chips. That means you can rebuy at the very beginning (which you said).
