Papal Inquiry

I've heard that some person from ancient times accurately predicted the names of all the Popes from his time to Pope John Paul II, at which point the list of Popes ends and, it is alleged, the end of the world takes place. Can anyone verify/disprove this?

I don't ascribe any value to this legend, but I was curious about its validity.

FWIW the most interesting one is the eclipse, because they predicted JP2 would be dead before the one in 1999 in Rome.

I posted on it not to long ago, search St. Malachy on google, or my username here. This is not the last pope, there are 2 more popes to come, and most of the prophecies are appearently freaky on. This pope was named the Sun pope or something like that, denoting a traveling pope in the predictions. He is the most travelled pope in history, and also was born on a solar eclipse.


PS Peter the Roman, the last pope, does not necessarily denote the end of the world, but just possibly the catholic church/vatican/rome/all the above.
