I will include a poll here, because we love polls, but if you would, post which you enjoy (or can tolerate) more and, also, where you live (as that has significant effect on your choice).

For me, I live in NJ. I easily like really cold weather more than hot weather.

Florida, Hot. I don't even like the "cold" weather we get here, I can't imagine living somewhere where it actually gets cold.

I live in San Diego and I chose Freezing Cold.

Maybe I should move.

The answer is hot.

I'm questioning whether you guys choosing cold have ever experienced "freezing cold" weather. Would you really choose to have it be 0 degrees with a 20 below zero windchill over it being 100?

I just moved away from Rochester NY. I don't mind the cold as much as the snow. I get depressed just thinking about waking up to a foot of snow every day and having to clean my car at 8am before school. At least in the cold I can start my car and go back inside for a few minutes so I'm never really that cold. All the snow just sucks.

Yeah, the hottest it gets any where for a regular time is what... 100? Trying going three months where every day is below 20 degrees, or four straight months where it doesn't get avbove freezing.

Personally, yes. Of course I've been in freezing weather.

It regularly reaches 115+ in Somalia and other parts of the equator.

Where I'm from, South Louisiana, when you factor in the humidity, the average July temperature is somewhere around 105.

I grew up in AZ where we regularly saw stretches of 110-115+ degree weather in the summer months. Like they say though it's a dry heat. Usually only high humidity during the monsoon season. Nothin better than strippin down to nearly nothin and tubin' the Salt. I'll take the heat any day.

Yeah, you just can't do anything in humidity, though.

If it's a dry heat I'll take the heat, I guess.

Freezing cold.....hmmm...I'm struggling to remember what that is....

Would you consider freezing cold to be like below 64 degrees?

It gets a hell of a lot colder than that round these parts, and I still prefer cold.

humidity makes a big difference. in NJ, when it gets hot it is also very humid and the humidity is what really gets to you. when i lived in san jose it would get very hot, but the humidity would stay low so i wouldn't mind it too much. i would prefer dry heat to freezing cold, but would prefer freezing cold to humid disgusting heat.

I consider it freezing cold any time I don't have to use air conditioning in the car.

I grew up in Alaska, and I experienced temperatures lower than -60F. I lived in New Jersey for a few years, and I experienced temperatures above +100F with humidity.

My vote: I prefer extreme cold.
