Button and bb unknown, UTG is a LAG 60/30/2.9 and the reason I'm at the table.

3-bet preflop, sure utg will come along, but he suxs, good chance the button is isolating utg and u are ahead and eliminating the bb helps.

bet the flop and hope bb raises.

by gaybeting the turn you scare most into thinking you are a fish who hit something like 2pair+ on the turn, so no raise is probabale unless you are rcushed, and your 8s want protection.

easy river value bet afte bb doesn't raise the turn IMO (which an overpair should and will do).

Do you check-call the flop assuming BB raises any hand and therefore you won't gain information by betting?

I would not 3bet this preflop, but I would DEFINITELY checkraise this flop to try to knock out weak highcards. I'm probably seeing a showdown if i'm 3bet by the button unless i had a good read.

note: although I don't 3bet this preflop, I think 3betting is fine.

Yes this was my plan. When the bet comes from your immediate left and everyone calls, it no longer can be.

why would your plan be to check-raise when the probable flop bettor (the BB who 3-bet preflop) is on your left?
