Do you fold this after his all in bet? First hand of a $10.
His bet makes me think he had a pair of 8s or 9s after the flop and then another 9 comes and he goes all in. Now I am thinking he could have JJ or something and be bluffing that he got another 9.

But I had a feeling he had trip 9s and I called anyway. Oh man, I need help letting AA go sometimes I think...

well, my advice would be to make it WAY more than 50 preflop, like in the neighborhood of 85. then.. play it accordingly from there. when the top card on the board pairs, definitely be wary. i doubt he is on a 2nd level thinking and pushing with A9 or something thinking that you will think he is pushing JJ or something and call with AA..

yuck. yea, definitely make it more preflop. if u make it 85 and get a caller, pot is around 185 or so, aaaaand.. you can kinda pot commit yourself to the hand on the flop. thats what i would do.. 3uo

A lot of people will slowplay trips, not open push into someone who has raised twice already. Why push and let you get off cheap by folding?

Instead, many people would check and let you bet.

The open push after a scary turn could certainly be a bluff.

I really have no idea. He could have quads for all I know. I don't think you have enough information to get away from this hand.

btw - Raise more preflop. Raise more on the flop.

Phil, do you think a raise of 85 or so here also? I don't want to be raising so much that everyone will fold and I just pick up 40 chips in blinds with AA.

you also dont want to give something like 910 who limped cuz hes terrible a chance to bust you. trust me, raise more preflop, and pot commit yourself to it on the flop. 3uo

Did you move up to the 200s recently? Dude, this is a 10/1. I'd bet 90.
