Relatively new to this forum and trying to take in all the wisdom. Is this one of those easy push situations?

Fairly sure it is. But I folded and need to be chastised.

Party Poker $10+1 No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button (t2190)
SB (t1685)
BB (t3335)
Hero (t790)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K/images/graemlins/club.gif, 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

Thanks Raptor, glad it wasn't that easy of a decision.

No holla?

With only 4x BB, a push is probably in order.

I plugged the numbers into eastbays SNG tools with some guesses as for the others calling standards, and depending on what tey will call with it can go either way.

So it is close.

That said, I don't think you are gonna find a better spot and should go ahead, push, and hope for the best.

well, i think that if i ever hear about anything being close, i push. so go ahead and push, thats what i would probably do here anyway. as for holla, i have a new thing.. 3uo

Easy push. This is actually an interesting spot since the BB is the big stack. The button and SB are very unlikely to call with the big stack left to act behind them. They don't want to go out 4th when you are about to get smoked.

So it's basically K7o vs the BBs random hand. That's a pretty sweet spot considering the alternative.

I hate a bet of all-in in that spot. Think about it, the only people who are going to call you are people that have you beat. This isnt an Ace high, its king high. And a bad king. Dont push with hands like that. Instead, make a big bet with 9Ts or something like it. That way you can be sure you have live cards.

You will go broke waiting for a 9Ts or A high in this situation.

Good push.

Thats just stupid. Youre definitely going to go broke with K7, you can wait for a better hand than that. Trust me, ive won these tournaments.

I guess I will trust you if you say you've won these cause Phil or raptor or anyone else in this thread probably has not won these tournaments.

Here is a hint as to why to push. You have a little fold equity left so you may steal the blinds which would be nice. And if you do happen to get called, you won't lose every single time even if you are behind.

Winning the blinds is good. Imagine 300 chips and u didnt even show the best hand.

I think you are low stacked enough and the other stacks are big enough that you are forced to double up or wait for one of them to make a mistake. You have JUST enough stack size that if the BB gets rags will be hard pressed to call and even less willing to double you up.I would only be afraid that the BB will be aware of the range of hands that you are pushing and would be willing to call with marginal hands getting somewhat decent odds.

However, I push here 100% of the time and hope if I get called my cards are live. Of course I would have tried to find a better spot before this.
