Bet and fold to a raise, imo.

what about check-call?

I like betting and folding to a raise better than checking and calling.
With a 4 flush board its possible he might fold a weak king with no diamond.
(the kind of hand he is calling with!)

I vote for check-call if only for meta game reasons. Bet-fold seems ok too but I'd really hoep for a free showdown vs a K or low diamond. while a lower pp w/o a diamond seems likely to fold.

I may be sub-optimal though.

I can see the reasoning for check and call.

Anyone thinks a player would muck a bad 2 pair or a low flush in this spot to a bet?
Probably not!

The checking and calling all the way with no turn raise smells like a weak king or a small PP.

This is exactly why I would bet and fold to a raise:

1) The ace will scare a pair of Kings along with the
2) 4 diamonds, which should scare any pair.

check and fold, you beat what? an underpair with no suited card that called all the way and now bluffs the river? meh.

If you bet, you'll just feel stupid when the Ko,xo calls you.

Check-fold......I guess a bet would be in order if you suspect this player would muck a weak king allowing you to steal the pot.

Lets look at the action.

The opponent is checking and calling all the way which suggests a draw or weaker holding (bad kicker?)
The only likley draw is diamonds but we get just a call on the turn.
(If he would have made diamonds ther is no way a player just calls the turns especially as he would not have the nut flush)

To my mind those who say check and fold get bluffed out of a lot of pots on scary boards like this when they should be the ones doing the semi-bluffing.
If you check and your opponents bets there is $190 in the pot for you call.
Given the opponent is checking all the way and a scary board I think a bluff bet when checked to is automatic by a lot of players let alone 15%

Bet and fold to a raise. Clarkmeister applies. He has no idea whether you have a diamond or not.

In the hand David check-called his hand was not good.

I bet even clarkmeister would say his theorm doesn't apply here.

is clark's theorem bet and fold to a raise on a 4flush board? it's not going to work in this game.

here is a new idea for all you LHE players that you are not familiar with. check/fold. your opponent probably has you beat and if he is considering a bluff he must think you checked with the intention of calling
