My opponent in this hand is loose and aggressive preflop (V45/R18) and somewhat aggressive postflop (1.1).

Is the turn check in this spot standard? Once he checks behind on the turn, am I check-calling pretty much any river?

On the turn checking is fine, but since it's hu it would also be ok to take another stab at the pot, if I was in position I would definetly check it but in this case both are OK.

Check/call the river seems good too.

I think you played it perfect, particularly since you can't fold to a turn raise and you are also inducing riverbets from hands that might have folded to a bet from you.

Thanks for the replies. I felt I played this one right but wasn't quite sure and it's a situation that comes up somewhat often so I thought it was worth asking about.

As for the results, my opponent checked behind and showed A8o, so MHIG.
