I know a lot of you guys multi-table.

What kind/size monitor/resolution do I need to fit 4 tables on the screen comfortably and clearly?

I don't plan on playing more than one table at a time now, but in case I do in the future, I'd rather buy the appropriate monitor now.

1600 x whatever it is....1600 is the first number though.

4 tables fit on one screen this way.

You need a monitor that displays 1600x1200 to see 4 tables without overlap. I used to use a 19 inch CRT, but got sick of the eye strain and ordered a Dell 2001fp LCD monitor. Definitely +EV for your eyes.

Check out the internet forums. There's more info there regarding alternative monitors.

I own 2 of the Dell 2001FP's and they're worth every penny. Of course, I use them more for work than poker, but it's certainly nice being able to open a bunch of tables without overlap.

I'd like to get a second so I can read 2+2, do other work while playing. Maybe after 3 more months of bonus whoring. /images/graemlins/smile.gif And I agree, the 2001fp is worth every penny.

I have heard of people playing up to 16 tables. I assume they are using two displays. However that only accounts for 8 tables, when more, do they use more than two displays or do they just tile the tables?

The resolution you need is 1600x1200. Viewsonic Ultrabrite A91f+ CRT is a good choice for ~$200 (available if you drive to CompUSA or BestBuy), or you can go with the Dell LCD monitor everyone loves, but is more exprensive (I think I've seen as low as $500? Don't quote me on that).
