Do you think you're special? Practically every gmail account that exists has 50 invites to give out. And it refills rather quickly.

Google likes to do things like this on april fool's day. I think it's real. Last year, on April fool's day they announced gmail. It's still here.

Maybe I'm imaging things, but it looks like mine goes up with every e-mail I send/recieve. Right now I'm at 1574MB of storage space.
Anyone who is still using AOL or Hotmail over gmail has no idea what they're missing. So much better.

Mine has gone up and down. It's strange. At one point I was at 1598, then I dropped to 1588, now I'm at 1595. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yeah the best way to see the differences is to actually use it. Probably the biggest advantage, besides crazy storage space, is the organization. Rather than each e-mail being listed separately, gmail organizes your e-mails in sort of a conversation format. For instance, say you and your friend send 10 e-mails, back and forth one day just replying to the original e-mail. That will be listed as a single e-mail with (10) next to it. When you click on it, it will give you the entire conversation in chronological order.
There are other advantages, but it's really worth checking it out for yourself.
I saw people on OOT talking about it a couple months ago, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I was hooked after a few days.

That is the main reason I love it. The search function would probably be second.

Like was said, the best way to see, is to try it. Sort of like Firefox and IE. Only way to know if you will like it, is to try it.
