Alright, Sox-Yanks is three days away. Time to predict the playoff teams and playoff results.

AL West-Angels
AL Central-Twins
AL East-Red Sox
AL WC-Yankees

ALDS-Yankees over Sox, Sox over Twins
ALCS-Sox over Yankees

NL West-Giants
NL Central-Cards
NL East-Marlins
NL WC-Phillies

NLDS-Giants over Phillies, Marlins over Cards
NLCS-Giants over Marlins

WS-Giants over Sox

A little homer pick in the Series, but I really think the Giants can win it all WITH Bonds for most of the season. He doesn't have to start the season, but he has to be there for most of the year. Predictions?

NL EAST--Braves
NL CENTRAL--Cardinals
NL WEST--Padres
NL WC--Cubs

AL EAST--Yankees
AL CENTRAL--Twins
AL WEST--Rangers
AL WC--Red Sox

I'm trying to mix a couple things up. Reason I pick the Cubs is I think Wood and Prior should be back and healthy soon, and along with Zambrano and Maddux their pitching is too good. I don't know why no one has picked the Padres, the NL West is super weak. I love the Rangers offense, and I think if their pitching is able to maintain average, they should take the West.

ALDS: Yankees over Rangers; Twins over Red Sox
NLDS: Cubs over Padres; Cardinals over Braves

ALCS: Twins over Yankees
NLCS: Cardinals over Cubs

WS: Cardinals over Twins

Don't know why I like the Twins this year, they just seem like they can do it. Cardinals seem to have the best all-around team.

I don't know about all of this but the Red Sox will not be making the playoffs this year. For those of you who said they'd win the AL East you haven't looked at their pitching staff lately. Its sad b/c I think any ALCS that isn't Yanks Sox is disappointing.

yep, im going out on a limb and predicting it now. everyone expects everyone to pick the yankees, and if I do pick them then its like, oh it was easy, 726,823,934 other people picked them too. but im probably the only one taking the twins, other than any twins fans i guess. i will be looked upon as a baseball genious if they win, but if i pick the yanks i'll just look like another guy. bring it on.

Now that is just not true. Imagine a clock that display 12:00 all day long, but when 12:00 happens, because it's broken, it switches to 1:00 and then switches back when 12:00 is over. So there.

Yes, bat-girl is quite funny, especially when she does legovision (http://www.bat-girl.com/archives/000348.html). She has a bunch of these, but this one was probably my favorite.

most everyone is under-estimating the Braves again this year.

Same weak division, same division champs.

Everyone? Looks like most people here picked them. And then like you said, same weak division. And they'll be the same weak division champs losing their first playoff series. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
