if you were getting a new computer to be used for poker and PT only, what would your bare minimum be when deciding what kind of prcessor you need(2.8, 3, 3.2 etc), how much memory you need, and how big of a hard drive you need? oyu are going to use 2 2001fp's. that means 2 video cards as well huh? thanks if you can muster up an opinion.

I'm going off what I've heard but from what I understand you'll need something faster (at least 512 mb of memory, not sure about processor speed) in order to multitable, as well as run PT and playerview. I bought a dell 8400 with 1 gig of memory and it's been awesome, only four tables and my dinky old compaq CRT (cant wait to get a 2001 fp). I bought the comp from their small biz website during a free memory upgrade so no monitor came with.
Good luck,
Matt

You dont need anything super fact to run poker, PT, and PV. You can do all of that on 256MB of ram (more just makes it nicer), and any processor that you can actually get in a new computer. You also dont need 2 video cards to run 2 monitors, just get one with dual outputs.

If price is an option for under $500 you can get a computer that has all that is needed.

If anyone tells you otherwise, kindly point them to my laptop that has 256MB of memory, and a 1.5ghz CPU that I 4 table party on with PV and PT running in the background

If you are running windows xp, multitable, pt, pv get more than 512mb ram. Go for a gig. You won't be sorry.

XP and player view are memory hogs.
