Yeah, right (http://www.khaleejtimes.com/Displayarticle.asp?section=theuae&xfile=data/theuae/2005/march/theuae_march896.xml)

Education authorities here have promised to review a book taught in an international private school that features a photograph of two Jewish children sporting plaited hair and yarmulke.

Dr Obaid Butti Al Mohiri, the Director of Curriculums Centre at the Ministry of Education, said he would order the withdrawal of the book for primary Class I of the Dubai International School if the complaints raised were found genuine.

Given these are our neighbours, do you honestly think that carving up the tiny slither of land us Jews call home, and giving away much of it to the Arabs, will miraculously bring about peace? The more likely scenario is that the Arabs will sense an opportunity, and try to drive us into the sea yet again.

What would the Left's reaction be if the Israeli education authorities had decided to withdraw schoolbooks featuring innocent pictures of Arabs, due to complaints from Jewish parents? No doubt they would be decrying the racism of the Zionist regime. Yet they are silent now.

I don't believe anyone that says what is written in your title. Even the Jews that say it.

Yay! Nobody is fooled by the Sharon theatre for peace. Sharon has to play the peace-loving and peace-seeking leader, on account of the current post-Iraq situation. He does not intend on giving back the West Bank or anything like that. At most, he will grant to those dirty towelheads some sort of mayorship (garbage cleaning) responsibilities in the area, in the form of the apartheid South African bandustans.

I was just saying (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=politics&Number=205224 0&Forum=,All_Forums,&Words=&Searchpage=0&Limit=25& Main=2041878&Search=true&where=&Name=226&daterange =&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=&oldertype=&bodypr ev=#Post2052240) that Israel has only gained from waging (hot or cold) war and stands only to lose from peace breaking out in the Middle East. Thanks, many thanks for such an instant confimation.

You keep bringing up South Africa, but all the black people in Israel are Jews!

Maybe you meant the Arabs. The Palis aren't citizens, and don't even want to be! But they still want control over the whole shebang. Unfortunately, the only bang is the murderers who blow themselves up at the nightclub.

I was just saying that Israel has only gained from waging (hot or cold) war and stands only to lose from peace breaking out in the Middle East.

Yep Israel has nothing to gain.

Tens of thousands of 18-21 year old Israeli kids will continue to serve in the army, depriving the economy of tens of thousands of intelligent, hardworking kids.

Millions of dollars of tax money and aid will continue to be spent on defense and the military.

Each and every father will continue to have to leave his family for a month every year to brush up on his military duties and avoid mowing the lawn for a month.

Yep, nothing to gain from peace.

"Several teachers," according to the online Khaleej Times, complained that their Dubain students have complained about textbook pictures of orthodox Jewish children captioned "we play together, we stick together." Dubai authorities promise to review the matter, otherewise taking no action. "Stick together?" Sounds like something anti-Semites say.

No matter, according to Gamblor. "Several teachers" are the same as "our neighbors" (Dubai is 1300 miles from Israel). They prove that "the Arabs" and want to annihilate Israel (Dubai is a U.S. military client) because they assocciate support for Israel's mistreatment of Palestinians to more Jews than deserve it. And "the Left" is "silent now" over this outrage.

Gamblor condemns the left for failing to condemn people who think like Gamblor. At the risk of mentioning a concept Gamblor can't comprehend, this isn't fair. At least on this forum, the lefties have been trying to get him to pull his head out of his ass for a long time. Now I suppose he'll beat us up for failing at that.

Unthinkng zeal a trait commended by certain types of leaders.

We have the Zionist's final solution -- take out these (towel head) lunatics.

Gamblor,
No intelligent person denies that anti-Semitism exists in the Arab world. Any effort by the Arabs, however, to drive we Jews into the sea would be met in the final analysis by nuclear destruction. Thus, the destruction of Israel can no longer transpire without the destruction of Mecca.

Returning lands taken by military conquest in an effort to find peace makes sense. The Palestinians deserve an opportunity at self autonomy. To blame them for their ancestors' trangressions,or to demand relocation to other Arab lands smacks of policies practised by the Third Reich prior to the final solution. It wass not right then, and is not right now.

Of course every single word of this is true. We saw a peace, however cold, when Israel returned the Sinai and its developed settlements to Egypt.

But no nation on earth is forced to endure negotiations with an non-state entity, let alone a proven terrorist organization such as the PLO. Despite its new name "the PA", it is still the same people in charge.

And we still are operating under the assumption that somehow that land "belongs" to the Palis.
