Apartment Pics (http://www.bdids.com/images/Apartment/)

To answer the question you're already asking, two chairs that annoyed me by being in the middle of the room and disorderly were photoshopped out of living room 2 pic.

Skilfully done.

I like the kitchen from the angle seen in kitchen2. Your marble run is cool for about 5 seconds and then I think it's pretty lame. If nothing else, please get new cushions on the "love seat".

Appreciate the washer dryer pic.

Here's some comments:

1. Your washer/dryer setup is economical and cool looking.
2. The marble run on your fridge is awesome. I'm totally doing that when I get an apartment.
3. Your entertainment center is hilarious. You have a ton of recievers and speakers on top of this little ol' TV stand; reminds me of me, I have a shitload of awesome stuff inside my little ass dorm room.
4. Aren't new apartments fun? I'm totally jealous of all my friends who have their own apartment.
5. Sweet computer setup. However, I would have somehow positioned my computer so that I could compute and watch TV at the same time.
6. Your kitchen is awesome, but only because you have two 5ths of Bombay instead of one.

Cool apartment!

Looks like every apartment ever. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Like the marble run thing, and the Bombay Sapphire.

Computer setup is nice though.

I think everyone has owned that tv at one time or another.

New couches bro. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The place is clean though. I mean, really clean for a college-aged dude.

All in all, not too shabby dude. Wait til you get a house. Then it's ON.

Not enough books.

Also, your computer is on some sort of small platform and you apparently have a thing of PAM in your kitchen. You have some explaining to do.

marble run is fantastic. carpeted floors are lame, but whaddyagonnado?

I would get some new bookshelves.

Bowling.

Marble Run (http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=514). I think it's pretty neat. It stays out of the way more than you'd think.

The TV stand turns so I can watch TV while on the computer.

B Dids

The books are in the bookshelves which you don't get a great view of, but yeah, if only I actually read stuff.

There is nothing wrong with PAM.

turnipmonster
03-31-2005, 12:49 PM
dude PAM rocks, in fact I need to get a new can I just ran out yesterday after making granola. since you eat out at fancy restaurants every night you maybe don't truly appreciate the wonders of PAM and its nonstick action for all types of baking /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I think a challenge is in order. Step #1: we improve your poker game #2 we set aside portion of poker winnings into an apartment upgrade budget #3 unfat urself pls #4 now that you are thin, rich, and have a nice apartment, you can start posting pics of chicks that you bang.
You got any sort of upgrade budget right now?

Fine. Rationale for the computer platform?

B Dids
03-31-2005, 12:58 PM
A- yes I live by myself (btw- not college aged actually, 28)

B- this is an upgrade from the last place, a big one. The next upgrade from this is probably into a condo, which requires more than just poker winnings.

B Dids
03-31-2005, 01:00 PM
Oddly- all the pictures and art didn't show, but they're not blank. I have more art that's in my office at work that will be coming home.

SFer- the platform is there because a full scale desk would take up a ton of space and is more than I need. I like the platform a lot /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I love the marble run. Definitely need some new cushions for the couch. Also, while there are some cool things on the walls (I think that is a mask to the right of your computer desk), don't be afraid to put some cools pics, etc. up - especially in the bedroom.
Lastly, how in the world is your place that clean?

That said, it's never that messy. Everything has it's place.

tomorrow is fine. for some odd reason I didn't realize by Esa you meant Ess-A-Bagel, I used to live near there and have been there before actually. still want to go there for lunch because that place rocks, I think that Essa vs. H&H is too close to call, although the bagels are quite different.

Yeah, when I said upgrade I meant furniture/artwork/paint/electronics...You don't need a new place, just new stuff.

B Dids

Yes.

New loveseat/couch is in the works.

The blonde bookshelf looking thing is a remnant of my old computer desk and will eventually go. The other two bookshelfs are kinda low rent, but low on the list of stuff to be replaced.

The dresser in the bed room needs to be put out of it's mercy, but it's functional right now.

All the electronics, save the TV, are pretty nice. It's a tossup between the couch and the TV or a laptop as to what I replace next.

DMBFan23
03-31-2005, 01:25 PM
dispelling the PAM myth...

apparently they base that on a certain spritz duration which has enough calories (like 1/3 of a calorie or something) where they can round it down to zero. if you spray for like 5 seconds, you're getting some calories.

not that 15 calories of PAM matters when you're about to fry up some eggs in that PAM, but just FYI /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bookshelves are basically the only thing that one should purchase at IKEA once they are out of college. I think you could upgrade all of them to something that matches and looks pretty good for pretty cheap. Couch looks like it needs to be replaced before TV, especially because this space doesn't look like it could really handle a big TV upgrade.

I am jealous of the washer/dryer being in the apartment instead of coin op units in the basement, and the dishwasher, which I don't have at all. Also, all of your kitchen cabinets and bathroom fixtures are much newer than mine, and you probably don't have the main Long Island Railroad line (or Seattle equivalent) passing 50 feet from your bedroom window.

Edit: Now tell me you pay less than me. I am at 1050/mo.

Is it strange that I think the only thing in the pictures that expresses any personality whatsoever is the computer setup, with the marble thing being a distant second?
