View Full Version : A question about odds vs. number of opponents

On the one end of the spectrum, there's AK offsuit. I want to play that hand against as few players as possible to maximize my chances of winning the pot. On the other end of the spectrum, there's 23 suited. I want to play this hand against as many opponents as possible to maximize the pot size when I win. This leads me to believe that there are two hands (one suited and one not) for which I don't care how many players are in the pot. Is this true? If so, which hands? How does this apply to pairs?

I'd take AKo against a field of 9 any day.

Is no one answering this question because it's too obvious or because it's too difficult?

Because it's misconceived. Your premise is incorrect.

I think you should play 7 2 suited rather than 2 3 suited because it will be disguised. Nobody will see it coming.
