Curious about this one.

Villan is tight aggressive. Have seen him raise with high pp's through ak to at suited and unsuited

He is early and raised. I had ak I reraised with the idea of isolating. Comments?

On the flop it was low cards. Never seen villan raise with lower pp from early position. Figured there was a strong possiblity he did not hit flop. Was capping on the flop too aggressive?

On the turn I wanted to see what hit. In this case A which gave me top pair. Without a hit on turn was planning on reevaluating...with plan on just calling a bet from villan (as opposed to folding or raising) and then looking at the river. Comments?

Preflop is standard.

Flop is not.

if the flop is overplayed what would be the suggested plan?

Given your description there is nothing on the flop he cold have that you are ahead of. Slow sown on the flop. I'm putting him on kings or queens. I don't think the player you described caps with 99 or TT but JJ is possible. If I had to guess I am going kings.

I think a case could be made for either

a) just calling his bet
b) raising with the hope of taking a free showdown UI (and calling his 3bet)

I like a raise against a passive opponent, who:

- Will not 3-bet another AK OOP
- May fold another AK to a turn bet (more tight than passive)

I would say, IF you raise and he 3-bets and villian isnt overly aggressive, then I would say you should fold the river UI

An very aggressive opponent:

-MIGHT 3-bet AK OOP
-Bet AQ all the way down

So, I like calling down an aggressive opponent here.

Note: in general, with a capped pot against an unknown, if you decide to take the passive line, I would generally call AK UI on the river.
