... and end up being worse than you assumed.

Running out of movies that I haven't seen, I just rented Taxi and The Grudge. I came in with low expectations and was just blown away by how bad these movies were, particularly Taxi.

Jimmy Fallon basically plays the part of a retarded cop, his actions completely throwing any plausibility out the window. In both these movies the dialogue is ridiculously poor. Also, I had never realized how bad of an actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is. She needs to stick to roles of a vindictive bitch.

Anyone else care to add to this list?

That one is on my short list of worst movies ever seen. One of those that just has you shaking your head at how bad it is.

As a diehard Carrey fan I have unconsciously committed myself to liking this movie. But I'll admit, it really does suck.

I have nothing against Jim Carrey. I really liked Eternal Sunshine, but the Cable Guy is on my short list of worst movies ever. At least its not the Net.

I actually thought that "The Grudge" was just a remake of "The Ring" but with a house instead of a movie.

I thought the original Grudge was made before the Ring came out.
The US version is a remake.

ANyone who rents Taxi deserves what they get. That movie was obviously going to be awful. Bitching about this movie after renting it is like hitting yourself in the nuts with a hammer and then complaining about how much it hurt.

Mentioning these 2 together is pretty funny. I think Moulin Rouge is a very good film. You've Got Mail is an abomination.

I haven't seen either, but I've learned not to trust the overall taste of most OOT posters. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif
