MP open donks. He sucks something awful, very loose/passive. HJ is a 22/14/1.7er and raises in the hijack. A seemingly loose but unknown CO cold-donks. I 3-bet 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif on the button. Blinds fold out. MP calls. HJ calls. CO calls. 4 to the flop for 13.5 small ones.

Flop: Q /images/graemlins/club.gif5 /images/graemlins/club.gif3 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

MP checks. HJ bets. CO calls. I call. MP calls.
4 to the turn for 8.75 big ones

Turn: 4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

MP checks. HJ bets. CO folds. I raise. MP calls. HJ calls.

River: Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif

Checked to me and I bet.

Open-donk and cold-donk are my new favorite verbs.

I don't like the pf 3-bet, as I the open-donker will call and the blinds will likey fold. With this hand I want lotsa foes or 1. 3 is the worst IMO.

I may be behind, and a raise will not protect my hand, so I am jnot sure a raise is correct. Although it may help represent a club draw., which may give us some folding equity later on.

Any non- /images/graemlins/club.gifA, K.

None.

Anything else, unless the bet comes from the donk.

[ QUOTE ]

Anything that isn't a an A, K or probably J. I asume the only thing that will call is something that beats me, but I bet cuz I want hand like 99-JJ to scram.

What flop is ideal for you to raise as opposed to calling?

8XX. No chance for protection, so I'm only raising for value.

What turn card are you folding to?

A, K, J, T, 9. Too many possible redraws/made hands.

What turn card are you calling to?

None. I don't think calling here is ever right.

What turn cards are you raising to?

< 9.

What river cards are you betting?
Q, X < 9 where X doesn't put a 4-straight on the board. If I made my flush, I'm betting out.

[/ QUOTE ]

Something like that.

What flop is ideal for you to raise as opposed to calling?

At the very least, one w/out a broadway card.

What turn card are you folding to?

After I've raised the flop and been bet into? The only turn bet I call is if I've improved (flush draw or trips).

Some questions for you (please explain all your thoughts) ....

1. Why did you 3-bet PF?
2. I would have probably mucked this flop, as the b/d flush is a weak one. What are your thoughts about this?

Hey Donk Daddy -

I think this is a great hand to post, and I think you played it well.

To try and answer your questions:

[ QUOTE ]
What flop is ideal for you to raise as opposed to calling?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would raise with a set, an all under-card flop, or the smart end of an open-ender.

[ QUOTE ]
What turn card are you folding to?

[/ QUOTE ]

Aces, Kings, and depending on how the action goes maybe Jacks. (I'm not sure about that though.)

[ QUOTE ]
What turn card are you calling to?

[/ QUOTE ]

A big club.

[ QUOTE ]
What turn cards are you raising to?

[/ QUOTE ]

Any non-club lower than 9, or non-club Queen.

[ QUOTE ]
What river cards are you betting?

[/ QUOTE ]

Everything but Aces, Kings, Jacks and Tens.
(I'm not really sure what to do if a club comes off.)
