View Full Version : I completely butchered my KK

I feel I completely butchered this hand. No real reads.

Party Poker 100$ (1$ BB) Full ring.

Relevant stacks:
EP $48
Hero (MP) $100
LP $260

Preflop:
I am dealt KK. EP raises, I smooth call. Folded to LP who calls.

My thoughts: I had put EP on a premium pair, or AK. I planned to raise EP's continuation bet all-in on the flop if an ace didnt fall. This was my first mistake, as in the end, the flop wasnt played heads up.

Flop:($15) [ 2d, 9s, Jd ]

EP bets $15. I wanted to see what LP was going to do here, so I smooth called again. LP raises to $30. EP pushes, and I fold. LP calls.

So thats it. Did I ruin this, or do you think I got away from a better hand cheaply?

Many thanks in advance for the abuse which will follow..

You have to re-raise preflop. The last thing you want is to get a bunch of callers in behind you.
