Fairly new to the table. PokerEDGE & PT show Villain and table pretty loose, but nothing really solid yet.

I called the turn on implied odds but I really don't know if Villain would have paid me on the river. Bad call?

River: ($21.35) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Villain checks.

Anyone actually bet out here? I don't think I've ever tried to bluff through a missed flush draw.

Final Pot: $21.35

Results in white below:
Hero has As Ks (one pair, queens).
Villain has Ac Ah (two pair, aces and queens).
Outcome: Villain wins $21.35.

Thanks /images/graemlins/smile.gif The river check and seeing his hand convinced me he wasn't particularly aggressive.

But I worry a lot about my play on draws like these; I'm afraid I'm leaking way too much by kidding myself about implied odds when I should just be laying them down. If the straight pot odds at the turn don't justify calling, how do you come to a reasonable conclusion that the implied odds do? Or is that just a judgement thing I have to come to grips with?

And who finds the stones to bluff through the miss, and under what circumstances? It very likely wouldn't have worked in this instance, but Villain's river check had me thinking. As a fairly new player should I just forget this move for now?

Villian played his hand awfully in terms of money he couldve gotten off you. The river check is just plain poor

You are in a tough spot acting first, especially after raising pf utg. Not knowing villians holding, i may reraise flop and push turn as you tons of outs. Bluffing the river is a terrible idea
