So gas prices right now are horrid. I filled up a 13gl tank on my 4cyl car, on regular unleaded and it was $25. I have cut down a lot of driving, so I can usually get by a tank per week. I guessing the highest prices are out in California. So what price are your gas pumps charging and what do you fill up with?

You pay for the premium? My bitch gets by on midgrade with the prices like this. That's still $2.25 in midtown though.

$2.50 for the cheapest of the three choices.

I noticed this @ a few gas stations on the way home....I bet I could find it for a bit less not too far away though.

I live in Huntington Beach, CA.

Hi, Chevy Tahoe V8 5.3L with a 26 gallon tank. Fortunately NJ is on the bottom of the gas price list, but it still isn't cheap. You are complaining about a 4 cylinder? I wish I got that mileage. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

$2.55-9/10 for 91 octane in L.A.

I don't care how high the prices go, I'd pay an extra dollar a gallon if they'd get rid of that friggin' 9/10. What is that?

The main reason for nine-tenths-cent pricing in gasoline is because it looks and sounds cheaper.

It's the same reason that stuff in dept stores is priced at $1.99 instead of $2.

2.499 at the local Shell. I fill up with regular, unleaded minimum octane 87 as that's what my car prefers. I drive a fuel efficient 2004 Honda Civic.

Not exactly. Our salaries are higher, but it has destroyed the market for cars with large engines.

Higher than the U.S.?

Even if thats true, its not by 3 fold, thats for sure.

Arnfinn Madsen

No,
It is not as much as threefold (minimum wage app. US$ 15). The cars are more expensive too so it adds to the burden. Relatively the whole package is more expensive.

My F150 took $43.00 day before yesterday filling up.

I remember back 6 years ago when I moved here gas was $.89 a gallon.

6 years, a price hike of almost 300%. FUCKERS.

No matter what way you look at it you/we are still getting this once-and-never-more resource incredibly, ridiculously cheap (and you guys even more so than us over here).

mmbt0ne

I remember after a track practice junior year I went to the gas station and it was $1.45, so I only put $4 in. If I found $1.45 gas today, I'd fill up my tank, and then start pumping it into any container I could fine.
