This hand is taken from the middle of a MTT qualifier for a Party Quarter Million Tournament. Top 18 get a seat and we have about 250 left with my stack being about average.

Anyone make a play at this flop?

Here is why i wouldn't bet this:
about 1/3 of the time one of the 4 players will have the 7.
Although the hand looks pretty with all the red, it is unlikely to improve.
An ace would be a horrible card to catch.
You are out of position.
There are NO turn cards that I would bet.

Please post the same question where you have a7d, and the flop comes 7h5h5d.

From your position, you can't afford to bet at it.

i would bet. there's a pretty decent chance you're going to pick up the pot now. if you don't, you have some showdown value against a flush draw, plus a backdoor draw of your own.

I would bet, if you're called, its likely a 7 or flush draw. If raised, you're likely behind and can easily fold

This would be a reason to bet.

Well, I went ahead and bet 300 with the plan to shutdown if I was called and faced any sort of "large bet on the turn or river (I guess 300 or > would classify as large at that point).

How was that plan, assuming you like the bet of 300 there?

For those who care, I was called in 3 places and checkfolded on the turn. One of the callers ended up winning the hand with KK.
