He folded, but given the fact i wasn't very deep should i have just committed here? -edit- somehow the part where i moved in on the flop is missing...

With those blinds and 7 players remaining, I'd go ahead and get the rest of my chips in there preflop.

If you are going to use a stop+go, this is a perfect time. Your preflop raise is only 650ish more, so it's unlikely you will make your opponent fold, yet there are much greater chances postflop. Sometimes you may make a hand fold on the flop that has a 25%+ chance to beat you.

Stop &amp; Go is one of the strongest moves available to an SnG player....This one was perfect /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

It would be a mistake NOT to use the stop and go in this situation. That fact that you aren't "very deep" is the exact reason to use the stop and go. If you had the Button covered, I would probably go all-in (maybe, if my read was that he was likely to fold).
