10th right now out of like 680 or so with 27K. Having this many chips makes me realize how much my game doesn't suit having a large stack.

somewhat early position with ATs, raise to 3x, get 2 callers by 1 big stack and 1 same size.
flop comes down A23, i check in EP, medium stack bets, big stack calls, I call, turn comes 3, same pattern, river brings 4, checks around and AT holds up. i really didn't expect to be ahead but they all called. strange. i gotta say i'm playing scared poker right now. 20k right now.
I got roughly 16k at the break.

3 stacks are double mine, and there's a bunch of small stacks.

8700. Completely card dead entire tourney.
Up to 24k when my 1010 holds up vs a smaller stacks A7. Interestingly enough the hand before this I have KK in the BB and get no action and the very next hand I have 1010 again and steal the blinds.
SGS
Won a big pot w/ KK when flop came 3,5,6. Got all in on the flop and the BB had 67. I dodged the bullets to take it. Up to 45k now.

Chip leader now with 160 or so, 108K. Chip leader in my limit tourney too.
~Justin
Monster pot puts me up to 85k. I have AJss in the CO. Loose raising standards guy with roughly the same stack as me makes a standard raise. I repop it expecting to take it right there. He unexpectedly calls. Flop comes J high and I push and he folds. I have no idea what he had but I like it.

91 of 128 at the break. 27-28k. need to tell myself that there's no use getting in the money unless you're deep. I'm having a hard time believing myself because I could sorely use a cash here.
Sittin in 11th with 95k. Hopefully I'll see you guys at the final table.

hand analysis,
AK, big stack who just got to table pops to 6k, i repop to 10k (weak min-raise) i have about 40k at this point. he calls and flop comes down rag two queens. i fail to find aggression and check the flop, he comes at me with a bet and i fold like a cheap tent.
thoughts? push pre-flop? smooth call?
I'd just shove it in there PF. A legitimant re-raise is roughly half your stack and you can't fold your hand. Seems like a push is best.

You lucky piece of crap SGS. Nice suck out on river against those aces. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
Better to be lucky than good. I have Q9cc in the CO and open raise a stack roughly 20k smaller than me calls on the button. He had been disconnected for a while so I have no idea on him. Flop comes 8 high 2 clubs and I push. He calls w/ AA but i'm lucky so a club comes. Up to 167k. I think I was making up for Jurollo's bad luck when his KK lost to A4.
SGS
I knew the club was coming. It was in a book somewhere I read.

Heart break. KK... flop 752 or something. I push the one opponent in, 77K pot, he calls and shows A4s, turn gives him flush draw, river gives him runner str8. Down to 129K, back to 165K next hand. I am 2nd on bubble, SGS is 4th.

Keep hanging in simplistic. You can easily get another pay level then try to double and get back into it.

What'd you have that last hand, the one where you raised 2.5 utg and lp pushed?

For anyone who didnt see it. 26 left, I see KK. 1 all-in in front of me, 2 all-ins, I call and see JJ and 88. Would have been around 650K and in 2nd.
Flop 234, Turn 5, River 6. 3-way chop, ahhhhh!
Down to 170K at the moment.

Tough way to go out, congrats on cashing.

140K, UTG raises to 40K, I see 55 and push. UTG thinks and calls with 66?!?!? Couldn't believe he called. Anyhoo, out in 23rd... this one is going to be real tough to swallow after him calling with 66 and the KK hand described earlier.

$11 rebuy is notorious for these types of calls, actually usually worse than that. Tough luck with the Kings.

omg....i just went from 3rd place...to 9th....to 16th of 19....to finishing 18th...
2nd biggest cash of my career but [censored]...i coulda been final table if i hadn't played idiotic. was chopped down to 350k when big stack picked off my steal, then other guy rivers a flush to bring me to 150, in CO+1 and went in with A4, got called by AQ. ugh. only time the whole tourney I went in with the shittier hand.
Jurollo

I think 8 of the final 18 had no business there, which is why these calls get made. Although I am not sure what odds the pot was laying him.
8K in antes, 30K in blinds and his initial 40K and 110K more to call. But calling cuts his stack in half so that needs to be taken into consideration. I am just fuming because of the KK mostly, had 4 outs to lose, 4 to chop and one of the choppers hit. Oh well, played an exceptional tourney anyway, guess that counts for something. 3 for 3 in the money tonight in limit, PL, and NL rebuy, no big scores though.
