Thoughts?

Hand 1 - thought he would 3 bet me with AK on the turn, so I bet the river in case he had picked up a flush. Should have checked?

[/ QUOTE ]in your effing dreams. raise the flop. \
first hand looks good. i would threebet the flop because i think that will get more action than a scary turn raise... i also think the river is close... in the heat of the moment id probaly threebet, but im too aggressive and i think the call is best.

Raise the flop in hand 1, the board is massive, and you can get action from AK on every street.

Raise the flop in hand 2, looks like he's got a vunerable hand, and the pots too big + too many overcards to let him get to showdown cheaply.

I don't have much mid-high limit experience, and this may be a dumb question but, in the first hand why not cap the flop? And also in the second one. I don't think you played either hand poorly, i might check/call the river in the first one but that's about it.

Regarding hand 1 - I wanted him to lead into me on the turn so I could raise. I think he would have check called the turn had I capped the flop. More aggressive players are 3 betting in that situation.
