Didn't GuyOnTilt have that avatar for awhile? What bet did you lose?

Schneids does have a split personality. Does this look like the speech of a sane person?

This has been shown time and time again (albeit always for play money) that Schneids owned me HU. I've improved my HU game the last couple matches we've played and I think I woudn't get owned anymore. He still has an edge, though. I leave my ego out of game selection. I don't always do QUITE as good of a job in hands where we happened to be at the same table, but I've gotten much better.

As he once said to me "I'll take your results on the real money games over me being able to pwn you HU any day."

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but just as a quick aside: is this the sort of thing you have to do typically to play well HU? I think I want to go throw up...

?

He out played him. He got his opponent to throw away the better hand why is that "throw up" play?

I'm not criticizing the play. I don't play HU, and so my question is whether you have to be so aggressive with nothing, as the winning player in that hand was. THAT makes me want to throw up.

[/ QUOTE ]

No. Me and Bike were playing a lot very aggressively against eachother (FWIW in the hand he posted I had 22. So I wasn't just chip hurling with a big ace or something).

Also, two other times in the match where he bet into me on each street and I raised him, he did pay off the river and both times I could beat top pair. That factored into my decision to try again. I thought it was more likely he'd finally fold this time, and I was pretty sure my jack high wasn't the best hand (I did call him down once with queen high to beat his six or seven high... the only time the whole match I made a river call with less than ace high or intended to showdown less than ace high).

As far as raising on a bluff, if you're going to try to do it HU, it's best to do so when you still have a draw to a strong hand (or at least two overcards) since it's best to be bluffing when you've got probable outs. I very, very rarely try to run stone cold bluffs since I like to be able to somehow back into a winner often enough to make up for my failed bluff attempts.
