She can eat...but still.
She wants to bet me 1k she can do it in 1 hour. No puking before or after. All sirloin, no grissle, etc. She's 31, in good shape, runs regularly.
Thoughts?

I can't even eat a pound in an hour, and I'm ~150 pounds.
I say that she can't. But if she's really confident then it's quite possible that she has attempted it before and succeeded at it.

Dont do it, if she wants to bet you the 1k she's probably pretty sure she can do it, possibly has done it before. Don't make the mistake of assuming a person's size determines their ability to eat.

Are you serious? A pound of steak is like nothing, and I'm pretty skinny myself. Although that skinny is 6'5" 190 lbs so yeah...
edit: I just proved myself stupid for falling into the same trap I warned against, of confusing size with ability to eat.

Do not do it. My ex was a tiny thing and I have no doubt she could do 2-3 without breaking a sweat. With money on the line, it's over.

oh yeah...is that 4 pounds raw or cooked? if it's 4 lbs raw, i say it's possible. 4 lbs cooked though, that's a different story.
A pound of steak is 4 servings bro.
And I don't even like steak.
But yeah. I get full after eating a half pound hamburger.
You're like the same build as me if you're 8 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier, but as you said, build doesn't really matter.

This girl isn't a professional steak eater... she was just talking ish about how she could eat so much and I called her on it. She's a big eater for a 100 pound girl, but she's no Olympian and certainly not trying to hustle me here.

How much is the 1k in value to you? and how much is the 1k in value to her? If it has a higher relative value to her and she is prone to get nervous over the fact that this contest could cost her 1k, then you could gain a substantial edge in the fact that if she is nervous it will not be as easy for her to eat.
He might as well attempt to put her all in.

Sounds like you're exaggerating her weight, but if she's really that tiny, you should be jumping on her offer. Heck, I'd be willing to pay money to see that feat. Keep in mind that it may be +EV for you to lower the stakes (maintain that friendship, get more bets in the future, etc). $100 sounds about right. I certainly wouldn't mind losing $100 to a girl who can eat 4 lbs of steak under those conditions.

I watched sonya thomas pound 168 wings or something in 32 minutes two years ago, so it definitely can be done. Weight doesn't have all that much to do with it. Some studies have talked about how skinny people have folds in their stomachs that allow for greater expansion than fatties. Very player dependent.

Damn right it's possible.
My weight slides up and down between 130 and 150, but I've eaten a 40-oz steak several times (Seven Stars Inn, Phoenixville, PA), with vegetables and dessert thrown in. Eating 4 lbs of steak meat would be challenging, but certainly not impossible.
Some people can eat a lot. When they can, there is very little rational explanation for why.
