UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 3/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

Is this sort of hand a dumb post because I am just supposed to say to myself, when in doubt vs a random 2/4 player fire the value bet? I'm afraid of my own possibly result oriented thinking. I can't figure out if I usually like this bet or not. (ie 55%)

Thanks. You're reply suffices. Sometimes I underestimate what they will call with I suppose.

Real Stunnas value bet this river.

Fixed your location. But seriously, I think this is a pretty clear bet/fold on the river. Given villain's line... if you are behind, it is to a hand like AT. If you had a read that UTG+1 plays scared with hands like these because of the straight possibility, then maybe it becomes a river value check /images/graemlins/grin.gif, but without a read, I think betting this is fine.

Even against a semi reasonable opponent you should value bet here. I mean, I can see myself paying off with a lot of worse hands on this river than JT, although maybe I'm a CS fish.
Anyway bet and it's not really close.

Yeah like I admitted after reply #1, it just has to be made. In this example hand though, it is pretty obvious I didn't end up where I want to be, but my hand still does merit the vb. Thanks for the comments. I didn't think too long before making it, just wanted to bounce it off the forum and see how high of an edge you guys think it has.
