Starting your own porn site

I recently bought a new camera. I have lots of spare money. I know lots of girls who recently turned 18. The only obvious outcome of this is to start a porn site. Does anyone know where I can find any info on this? Can I just sell picture sets to larger sites? Is this feasible?

This happens to be what I do for a living. If you're even remotely serious, you'll need a LOT of content and a good processor (http://www.ccbill.com). "Reality" sites are very hot right now.

I can post links but I won't. Sorry, it's nothing to do with you but I want to keep the poker people and the adult webmasters as far from one another as possible. Just do some Google searches and you'll be alright. There are at least two other people in my industry who participate here, one of whom everyone who reads the high stakes forum is familiar with. We have pretty good reasons for not encouraging adult webmasters to come here and vice-versa.

You will have a tough time selling your sets individually to paysites. Most paysites and large free sites buy from established providers and/or contract exclusive content. For instance, my partner and I contract with a provider who works in both Florida and California. He scouts models, shoots the photos and movies and sends us the final product that we use on one of our sites. We don't go out looking for one set of content here and another set of content there every time we need to update our sites. If you actually have a talent for photography and you have a variaety of models, you could start a business selling content but it will take a while to establish yourself. If you produce a steady stream of quality content, you will get business. If you just shoot a few pictures here and there when you have the time, you're best off starting your own site.

Yes. If you have the girls, some spare money, and half a brain it's not that hard to get into the porn business. Make sure you know the state laws on this kind of stuff before you start. Good camera work, a little photoshop/gimp helps (but not needed), and a reasonably well made website is all you need.

If you go to http://www.netvideogirls.com you will see a crappy website. The guy literally holds the camera himself and screws women. It is the worst made production I've ever seen but his website has taken off. It doesn't take much. Good luck!

These kid's I know from the Long Island music scene started burningangel.com. This site caters to hipster porn. Like tattoed and pierced young punk chicks. suicidegirls.com is another one.

Basicaly, they had an idea, for specific a porn site with a target audience. They then went out and marketed to that audience. They advertise their site on music message boards and hand flyers out, outside of concerts, etc etc.

Hmmm... A basic startup site - hosting + ecommerce MySQL php etc.. from what I've seen starts around $1500-$2000. To get a decent site setup with a good tour, videos, etc.. it's more along the lines of $5000 + monthlies unless you know how to program yourself.
