One of my biggest problems at the moment is maximising value for my hands. Im finding it tricky to get enough action from my made hands. Im quite an aggressive player, I think. Part of the reason may be that I put them all in too often - as in, my last bet is putting them all in and also quite big in relation to the pot size.

Help? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Over 10 hands, which is better...

Getting a 100 bet called once

or

Getting 10 bet called 8x

I often find that small value bets don't get as much value as most overbets.

if you're NEVER getting called, obviously reduce the size of your bet to something you think may get called or possibly reraised (dream scenario). i go all-in at least 75 percent of the time when i know i have the nuts and get called probably 50 percent of the time i'm all-in, so i see that as the best move.

of course, once in a great while you will be wrong (my pocket 8s making a set and going runner runner a/10 to make someone a better full house).

As for river betting I like the tweener bets for both value and bluffs....

They usually are like 60-70% of the pot. Hard to call with a TPGK easy to call with TPTK..
