on these limits - on party I call this any day and twice on sunday.
I think you are looking at AQ,KQ,some flush draw way more often than a set. Other than that i raise it to about 12 on the flop.

Which players would you not call this against, or do you call vs anyone?

call with everyone. IMO the only close exception would be an uber-rock that only plays top 5 premium hands and even then i would most likely call here.

Yes almost without fail.

this is what makes sets so valuable. no one would lay down kings to that board (neither would I). so my set of 4s will win the pot.

So you guys will give up yout stack with a hand like this if someone is lucky enough to flop 3 of a kind?

You have one pair. You expressed your strength, and your opponent says you are beat. You are probably behind a set.

The other reasonable holdings are J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif and A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif x/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, including A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. However, would your opponent limp/call in UTG+1? I might limp with a speculative multiway hand, but I would usually fold if there is a substantial raise and no one else calls. I would almost always limp/call with 44 or 99.

Against a bluff, you are way ahead. Against a monster draw, you are about even. Against a set, you win less than 10%. Even though it is only another $14, I'm inclined to fold, but I think it is close.

I would fold, You dont have that much money in the pot. He probablly has a pair with a flush draw which would gives him 14 outs which is about a 1 in 2.5 chance to hit. And so even if your ahead which your not sure about you are still only "even money" to win. So it depends on how much gamble you have I guess.

I'd raise $12-14 on the flop here and call villians AQs KQs. The good and bad thing about party is that some nutballs will call an early position pre-flop raise with Q9. In that case you just smile and remember the times you've won with someone overplaying their overcards.
