Villian is new to the table, first cold caller is TAG.

Flop: (9 SB) 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 4/images/graemlins/club.gif, 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)

Turn: (7.50 BB) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

River: (7.50 BB) 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

Main questions is preflop and river...should I have called? I figured AK was no longer good against me and would bet the river...?

I don't like cold-calling a UTG unknown raiser with AQo. Not sure if I love the flop raise.

I probably would have played it the same. If the river card didn't double-pair the board, would anybody else fold to a bet here?

I think this flop raise is terrible, unless the 4 was a /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Possibly a free card play?

It was a free card play. I figured it might get me a free turn, 2 cards for 2 SB...

Edit: and it worked too. And if the river didnt dbl pair (or improve me), I would fold to a bet.

I don't like the preflop call. I took a look at this same hand for myself recently - down 48 BB over 32,000 hands when I cold call w AQo. Not a huge sample, and I know I'm not the greatest player so maybe I'm not playing some of those well postflop, but still seems like an easy place to stop losing money.

As for the river, I could let that one go pretty easy. Seems like the best you can do is split w at least one other player, and you're going to see their cards anyway.
