Actually i donīt mind the flop bet that much if you think there is a good chance that you can fold the button and you estimate that the risk of you being cr on this board is small.
But you got to raise the river...

I bet the flop as I thought it would increase my chances of a free turn. It also might allow me to get HU v. a KXd type hand or maybe two drawing hands which would increase my chances of winning UI.

Gotta raise the river, you make more from J9, KT etc that way.

Yes, I was going for overcalls but it was definitely wrong. At most I will get 1 overcaller, whilst the guy who bet will almost certainly call a raise at this level. I also could get into a war with J9 as you point out.

I like this flop bet. Three of the preflop callers already had money in the pot prior to preflop action. The 1/2 6 max villian hand range guide says this means theres a good chance they all have 2 cards. I'm with you on liking the chances of getting a free turn. Theres also a fair amount of draws out there, you could potentially pick up this pot with ace high if they miss.
