Right now I'm listening to Rubber Soul and I think it is it for me - perhaps Abbey Road, but I'm pretty torn. My dad's was Seargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and my mother's was Abbey Road.

Drive my Car is so good.

Rubber Soul is great. Check out Steve Earle's cover of I'm Looking Through You.

The answer in every comprehensive "top list" is revolver

Well... just for value's sake....

Yesterday and Today in the original "Butcher" cover.... they go for upwards of $25k.... I sold mine for $2k in '91... /images/graemlins/frown.gif ... was a college student needing money... oh well.

I like Abbey Road and the White Album. If I could only listen to one it'd be the White Album. More bang for your buck.

Between Revolver/Rubber Soul for me. "I'm Looking Through You" takes the award for top track on RS, though.

White albulm....and I still contend The Stones is a better musical group...perhaps not as influential/experimental.

The Stones have a few albums (we all know which) that are perfect the whole way through. And they rock harder, obviously. But the fact that the Beatles have so few mediocre songs just puts them heads and shoulders above the Stones.

The Rolling Stones>The Beatles. If Mick Jagger had been murdered 25 years ago and Lennon had lived, nobody would dispute this.

I love the Beatles, by the way.

Really depends on how you would rate the more popy early Beatle stuff....

I pretty much hate it.

I also pretty much love the Stones earlier stuff.

Stones are a little bit better musically IMHO also.

Pretty much that's it. I love both Beatles eras. If you don't like the pre-Rubber Soul music, your opinion will be what it is.

It's not like Keith Richards is any guitar wizard /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Didn't Paul lay down most of the drum tracks on the later albums?
