I expect many flames for this play...we'll see.

B&M NLHE Tourney. Blinds are 75/150. I have ~4200 on button with K/images/graemlins/spade.gif10/images/graemlins/club.gif. BB has ~6000, UTG+1 has ~3500.

UTG+1 min raises to 300, folds to me, I call (UTG+1 seems tight/weak, figured with position I could push him off hand...should of raised!), SB folds, BB min re-raises to 600, UTG+1 calls, pot is 1575, so I call the extra 300.

Pot is 1875. Flop comes J /images/graemlins/diamond.gifQ /images/graemlins/club.gif4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. BB bets 1000, UTG+1 calls, I think for about 20sec and fold.

Then I was thinking that maybe this was a good hand to push all-in with. I still had some fold equity with BB, and had outs with UTG+1 if called. Of course the A came off on the river. /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Anyone push all-in after this flop?

Lets see, it's 1000 to call and there is 3575 in the pot. BB has ~ 4400 left and UTG+1 ~ 1900. So if you raise all in, that is 2600 more, so, they have to call 2600 for a 7175 pot; it's really hard to imagine any of the 2 players folding here. So basically your fold equity is zero. Assuming you go all in and they both call then you're investing 3600 to win 3575+3600+1900= 9075. Thats about 1 to 2.5 odds, so you need to win the pot more than 2/7=28% of the time. If you're against AA and a flush draw like AKd or KQd, your odds are terrible. If you're against AA and TT you're only about 22%. If you're against two AQ with no flush draw you're a 35% favorite and you have the odds. I need to do the analisis with all the range of hands, but I think is close in the lower side of the 28%, so you should fold

But thas not the worse, you could be again a terrible sceniaro like BB has AA. Then you have only 6 cards left

Easy fold.
You are probably in 3rd place, and are unlikely to drive all the players out by pushing. ( I don't think you'll drive any out)

Easy fold. The fact that there are 2 suited cards out there makes this an easy fold for me. Plus you figure at least one of the opponents to have the ace you need, that hurts your odds substantially.

i think your play was very good here, with utg+1 min raising here ,he could be praying for a reraise here,so he can go over the top,and with you not having an ace it could very well be aa,i'd be cursing the bb for reraising and giving utg+1 a chance to reraise all in,but once he doesn't i put him off aa,and doubt bb has it either.after that flop comes i hope someone bets an amount that i get pot odds to call to make my str8,or both check and i can make a semi bluff giving me 2 chances to win the pot,if not i fold the way you did.
