Upon recent discussion of pot odds and their use I've started to realize that every player uses pot odds in a different manner or even not at all. So, lets see how the vast majority uses mathematical probability to determine a call or fold.

I don't get it.

I get it even less.

This poll better not be close, especially given that the decision to be made is between call and fold.

Personally, I seem to calculate pot odds more when I have 4-8 outs than when I have more than 8. The more outs I have, intuitively, I know that I only need about 3-4BBs in the pot to call.

The only time I'm not really strongly considering pot-odds is when it's hard to calculate how many outs I have. Even then though, I'm looking at the pot and getting an idea of what odds I'm getting, even if I don't know what odds I need.
