The converter isn't showing it, but on the river, he bet 40 and I put him all in for another 65.

Comments on all streets appreciated... (although if the first 5 people all yell bet the flop, you don't have to...)

Do not bet the flop. You have top trips, and there are no draws. Any feasible draw is runner-runner [straight, backdoor flush]. I'm wondering what the other guy had to lead out on the river-- maybe AQ or QJ.

If he had A/images/graemlins/heart.gifT/images/graemlins/heart.gif, tough break, but I like the action on all the streets.

I just call the river, if I get to it the way you did. If UTG+1 had made a real raise preflop, this would be different, but unless you have a read on what a min raise means you haven't narrowed his holdings down.

I'm betting this flop, because I bet every flop that I raise preflop and it's 3 or less people (counting myself).

well i figured my turn bet narrowed down his holdings - what range of hands do you puth im on when he calls my turn bet?

Either str8 or undertrips. Trips wont call your all in imo.

I don't play this high but your play on all streets looks great. River push is gutsy but I guess you're confident he's got pocket Q's.

I know you're most interested in comments on the river so I'll address that first: I would have just called, having played the hand your way. I am thinking that your push is only getting called by someone with a ten.

Someone suggested that it was OK to check this flop as there are no draws. OK, no great draws, but JT, QJ, or QT for the gutshot straight seem eminently plausible. (Many people would play those cards in this spot if they were suited, I feel.)

I find your flop check unconvincing. What are you trying to represent here? You re-raised to 16 times the big blind preflop. On what flop are we supposed to believe that you would have a hand not worth betting from the button? I know that your opponents in this game are not geniuses, but equally I think it's important not to treat them as if they were born yesterday, and that's what you seem to be doing here.

Seriously, put yourself in their shoes. What can they put you on? QQ and you're nervous about the K? Well, maybe, but you'd bet anyway after being checked to right? So your check almost screams "set" to me. Or maybe AA -- tell me you wouldn't try to slowplay those.

I don't mind the turn bet; better late than never. But given that you have now come alive with your fairly obvious monster, why is he betting into you on the river? I am thinking he has the straight here and I would only call.
