View Full Version : Why do I do better at PL?

I've been playing PL and NL tourneys $10+$1 at Party for the past month. At NL I am just breaking even. At PL I am doing enormously better. Yesterday I won 3 straight tourneys!

Do any of you have the same experience? Any insight you have might help me with my NL game.

The only thing I can think of is that at this level I have good post-flop judgment in PL on throwing away hands. At NL you are often pot committed.

how many games have you played of each?
this information is not enough to give you a solid answer.
You results could all be due to variance.

Assuming this isn't variance (which it probably is, but variance is the answer for everything these days) it means you're either especially good at PL or you have a leak in NL that you don't have in PL. Anything come to mind?
