Stars offers these fairly often, 9 tables of 9, final table gets their buy in back and winner gets a seat to the main event + $1000.

Im curious if these are a favorite of high level SNG players, it seems like the format would really be to your advantage, even though it leads to a tournament where you'd be at a disadvantage.

There are easier ways to win a wsop main event seat for sure, but these tournaments are still quite profitable, its a shame that you can't exchange the seat for cash.
