Hi, I was wondering if somebody has measure his results when playing multiple tournaments, compared to when playing just one. I use to play between 2 and 4 tournaments at the same time. But don't know really the effect of playing 1 more tournament in terms of EV.

Never done a scientific measurement, but I have carry-over tilted before. I've also been knocked out on two bad beats on hands taking place at the same time (bad beat simply meaning favored to win at the time all money in). <shrug> multi-tourneying is fun and makes it more likely to reach a ITM situation in one 5 hour period. I like it.

I can't pay attention unless it's something like a super-exciting final table anyway, so I don't think my usual 3-tabling really decreases my EV much on a per-table basis.

i suck at tourneys, but you got to be in better shape playing only 1 tourney

I generally try to limit it to 2 reads-important ones. I may have additional stars qualifiers or something, but any more than 2 seems to limit my information

I usually play two but never at the same start time...

I stagger them by an hour generally. If I make a final or get deep in one, the other becomes a level 1 hand or late position autopilot game only.., unless I am extremely focused.
