Live 20-40 game. It's only my second round and have no great reads on players. Although I played with the monkey in this hand previously and thus know he's a monkey.

Anyways. .

Utg limps, Hero limps on the cutoff with Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif10 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, monkey limps on button small blind folds bb checks.

4 players

flop q /images/graemlins/spade.gifj /images/graemlins/diamond.gif3 /images/graemlins/club.gif
bb checks
utg checks
Hero bets
monkey calls
others fold

2 players

turn 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Hero checks (lookinng for a checkraise? maybe just deception.)
monkey checks

river K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
hero bets
monkey RAISES

your action?

obvious bet on the turn. threebetting the river is even more obvious. the only question is whether to fivebet if he raises...

I figured he had to have 910. . .that or a really risky raise with qk or the like. I three bet and he raised me back and I called. He showed A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and took it down.

This is not a bitching story but I wanted to know if my thoughts were right and the three bet was good. Thanks.

easy 3-bet it would seem. Bet the turn.

I don't think I'm big enough to take two nuts in the backdoor.
