88 on K22 flop

I was reading through a few threads from Guido's "favorite threads" site and this one came up:

The question is this: You raise with QQ and flop comes K22 rainbow. You are up against BB who called your PFR and he now bets out on the flop. Clearly calling down is the best option in this situation as Ed demonstrated, partly due to the fact that if you are ahead you are hard to catch.

I wonder what people think if we have the same situation but you are now holding a hand like 88, a hand that is a lot more vulnerable to overcards. What is your plan against a flop bet (and no read).

I would call down but I know that I call down too much. There aren't any draws out there but they could be trying buy the pot or have a smaller pocket pair or Ace and think they are best.

I think an argument could be made for raising to give you a better idea of if you are ahead. I play 5/10 at party.

Where i don't mind calling down with queens, im inclined to raise any turncard here with 88, after calling the flop.

I still like calling down. In SH raising is too risky IMO because you might be 3-bet by bluffs or worse hands and you'd have to fold.
